The only auctions held by governments are either their own vehciles (ex-cop cars, city water trucks, etc) and cars seized by the police as evidence. Check your main police station’s public information officer for that.

Also look into auctions at tow yards. People dont pay the impound fees to get cars out. Those cars are sold to satisfy the bill to the tow yard
